What is 14ct Gold Fill?

With 14ct gold filled jewellery, a thick layer of 14ct gold is mechanically bonded to an inner core or base layer. The gold layer generally counts for 1/20th of the piece’s total weight. Having the gold mechanically bonded to the base layer means that it won’t tarnish or rub off in the same way that gold plated jewellery often does. Gold filled jewellery will have almost 100 times more gold than standard gold plated jewellery and it has the same qualities as solid gold but without the heavy price tag. Provided our gold filled jewellery is cared for, it can last a lifetime.

Caring for our product

All of our products are designed to last a lifetime.

Everything can be worn to bed, and in all weather!

However, for our beaded products we advise to take off whilst in the shower/swimming. The gold/silver beads will last forever, but the wire they are on can weaken over time if used in the shower/ocean/pool.

As with all jewelry, for maximum shine we recommend avoiding spraying the jewelry with harsh chemicals/perfume directly where possible.
